There’s no official statement on how many players have pre-ordered TERA but over 50,000 kills and over 150,000 PvP battles in North America closed beta 2 shows players’ enthusiasm. Closed beta 4 will start from March 23-25 and more participants as well as more contents are something to expect.
If you are not new to the MMO world you must know that TERA offers some very original races such as Aman and Baraka ,and there are Castanic, Elin, High Elf, Human and Popori for players of different taste. If choosing a race is about selecting the appearance than choosing a class is to choose your play style. Archer, Berserker, Lancer, Mystic, Priest, Slayer, Sorcerer and Warrior are specially designed to be unqiue roles in solo, party and boss gameplay. Priest, for instance, boasts fast attack skills and impressive survivability in solo but changes its role to healer when in a party. Different play styles in different situations make every class in TERA worth a shot.
As the most significant feature in the game, the non-targeting combat attract not only PC players but also console fans. Depending on your class, you can make different combos, and if you play melee classes, you hit everything that is in your weapon range without the need to “tab” to choose a target. And if you are Archer or Sorcerer you can experience some FPS elements and in addition to press the right button for the right skill, you have to aim at your enemy first. If you have been in good position and familiar with your skills, you can just enjoy the shining effects and feel every hit on the mobs.
Compared to the outstanding combat, nobody will say TERA’s quest system is impressive, not at the beginning at least. Usually you are asked to go to somewhere to kill numbers of something, though cutscenes will TERA GOLD make you enjoy the story and leveling a bit. Another feature which you can find in most MMOs is dungeon, and sometimes the story and quests bring you to the dungeons while sometimes the desire of fine gear takes you there.
